1) Regional development initiatives in peripheral or disadvantaged regions
Open call for proposals lasted from 1st of October to 23rd of December 2008. Call for proposals was conducted in the four south-eastern provinces: lubelskie, małopolskie, podkarpackie, and świętokrzyskie. 39 Project outlines were submitted.
In April 2009 the National Coordination Unit (Ministry of Regional Development) forwarded to the Swiss side 8 recommended Project outlines (basic list) and in June 2009 additional 3 Project outlines from the reserve list. In September 2009 the Swiss side approved all 8 projects from the basic list. As regards to the reserve list, two projects were approved conditionaly, and one was rejected (November 2009). The Executing Agencies were asked to prepare the Final Project Proposals, taking into account the recommendations contained in the Swiss side decisions. In case of all approved projects, co-financing within the Project Preparation Facility was granted - as of October 2010.

2) Measures for securing borders
Under this priority restricted call for proposals without time frame was used. Projects were identified by the Ministry of Interior and Administration. In total, 5 projects were appointed and recommended by the Polish side to the Swiss side for evaluation. In June 2009, 3 projects outlines received positive decisions (subject to conditions) of the Swiss side. The Executing Agencies were asked to prepare Final Project Proposals. In case of one project, co-financing within the Project Preparation Facility was granted. In March, April and May 2010, 3 Final Project Proposals were fowarded to the Swiss Side for further evaluation
At the beginning of March and the end of June 2010, the Swiss side approved conditionally another two project outlines and awarded the funds within the Project Preparation Facility.
