Objective No. 1: To promote healthy lifestyles and to prevent communicable diseases on national level and in geographical focus areas
In case of this thematic area, restricted call for proposals were used. The Ministry of Health participated in the identification of programs eligible for support under this Objective.
As a result of formal and content-related evaluation carried out by the Intermediate (Office for Foreign Aid Programs in Health Care), 3 programs were transferred to the National Coordination Unit (Ministry of Regional Development).
The Projects outlines received recommendation of the National Coordination Unit and in August 2009 were transferred to the Swiss side. In March 2010 one additional Project outline was presented to the Swiss side. The project followed by the assessment was withdrawn from further evaluation procedure. At the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, 3 projects were approved by the Swiss side (conditionally). However, ane Executing Agency decided not to implement the program, therefore it was submitted again (with another institution as Executing Agency). 2 Executing Agencies were asked to prepare the Final Project Proposals, taking into account the recommendations contained in the Swiss side decisions.
